2018 Tournament Summary
"People keep asking if we're ever coming back, and we haven't really had an answer,
but yeah, I'm thinking we're back" - John Wiff on the return of THE JOLLY WIFFLERS to Glory. It was 2009 the last time the
Jolly's had a crack at the crown, and 2007 when they last possessed the Gold. But when newcomers BALLS DEEP stole their luster
and killed their 2018 opening game chances, the JOLLYs awakened and served up "dinner reservations" for five unprepared wiffle
team entrees. They learned that when you cut the Kings of Wiff, you better cut them to the quick, Yo Ho, Yo Ho.
The Wiffle HUME'N factor loomed large as the HOMEBOYS and the WICKED WIFFLERS both entered and exited the post season in dramatic
fashion. A bunch of young players in BALLS DEEP had an uncharacterstic newcomer run to the championship, but lacked the endurance
to finish the job.
For the 3rd time in HD history, and for the second year in a row, the storied PRIDE OF THE WHIFFLERS found themselves staring
down disgrace and humiliation, but were once again spared the sting of stink by the KILLER B'S. For the PRIDE, this is troubling.
For the B'S, there are some conspiracy theorists who suggest that HD Wiffle leadership are using bee killing pesticides.
Others suggest the "pesticide" is Barenjager Honey Bourbon administered by the B's themselves. Despite the poison - the
B's, as always, bring The FUN.
